The Female Foundry is a multi-day programme designed to help women founders from around the world develop successful growth and digitisation strategies for their businesses. We developed and delivered this programme to promising founders in Chile, Mexico, the USA, Canada, South Africa and India.
Cairo/London: International Growth Programme
Partners: Flat6Labs Cairo
We worked with Flat6Labs to run a post-accelerator scale-up program with 15 cohort companies. The program looks at the market readiness and gaps of these companies and identifies areas of expansion both at a regional and international level. By reviewing the company’s business plans, growth strategy, and models, our team then identified the relevant market and potential customers providing linages and helping the startups with going to market strategy. The program also included a week-long London Bootcamp where companies connected with investors, mentors, and corporates. Post-program saw companies connect with investors from Dubai and London and acquire customers in London, Dubai, and Qatar.
Banque de Financement des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises SME Support Development Programme
Partners: H and D Partners, EBRD
We developed three strategy programmes for the bank’s efforts to support entrepreneurs across Tunisia. The programmes included strategies for entrepreneurial support, ecosystem building, and startup coaching for bank executives and advisors.
MENA Scale-Up Programme
Partners: The European Investment Bank, UK MENA Hub
We supported the European Investment Bank in its 12-month international linkages program for MENA. Working with 12 startups from Egypt, Tunis, Lebanon and Algeria, we provided technical support to help the businesses achieve market readiness. We connected the startups with potential investors, customers and partners both in Europe and MENA. Participating startups were able to raise over $3 million in venture funding and acquire customers across Europe.
Venture Building and Startup Support Workshops
Partner: The Khalifa Fund
We worked with the Khalifa Fund’s business advisors to create a process to vet and support startup companies in the Emirates. We also trained on Business Modelling and Investor-readiness, designed to be adopted into the Khalifa Fund’s existing processes.
